DB Longboards: pushing the limits of board design with zero waste

DB Longboards is a brand that really cares about design, quality and sustainability; three important factors when choosing a board, because each day it is more important to be aware of how much damage the human being has done to the planet. So, where was DB born? What is really DB? Well, let me tell you that DB boards are named after their original birthplace, Dash Point, Washington. Initially, their first boards were affectionately called "Dashboards", the name stuck and has come to represent a legacy of handmade boards in the Northwest.

DB was founded in 2003 by Richard Docter, Bryce Hermansen and Tim Mackey. Originally manufacturing foam longboards and flatland skimboards, the business quickly grew out of the garage and moved into a 2000-square-foot barn. Working nights and weekends, the boys worked their way through college and upon graduation pursued their passion full time. In 2010 the boys grew the barn and moved to their current 6000-square-foot store just south of Seattle, WA.

Inspired by Northwest beaches, concrete and snow, the guys continue to pursue their founding ideal: chasing adventure and riding the best boards possible. You'll find their founders and employees riding their product on hills, waves, beaches and mountains all over the Northwest.

DB Longboards was founded for the pure love of longboarding. In the summer of 2003, Richard Docter, Tim Mackey and Bryce Hermansen started building boards by hand in a garage in Tacoma, WA. Bryce's grandmother's barn was the next stop for the factory and helped the trio hone their craft.

Today, the guys build DB boards in a state-of-the-art factory just a few miles from that original garage. Although the factory has changed, the mission remains the same: create amazing products, do it sustainably and treat customers and employees like family. Satisfaction guaranteed.

The brand wants you to have the best longboard and the best experience possible. If you're not satisfied with your order, it will fix it in short order. It offers free returns for all items in new condition returned within 90 days of purchase.

This is perhaps the most important and valued point for customers and people in the skateboarding world, that the DB brand has, as 100% of the scrap it produces is reused in downstream products. In addition to their reuse program, they strive to use only low VOC and water-based chemicals to keep the earth and employees happy and healthy.
