Freestyle longboarders are becoming more one with their board. The roots are coming from skateboarding. Longboard dancing has, partly due to youtube and TikTok, and partly due to better and longer boards, seen a huge increase in the last couple of years.

What is the best Freestyle Longboard?

Usually freestyle riders will choose between two kinds of boards: A drop down or a drop through. Preferable with a symmetrical design so you do not have to turn your board around every time. A kicktail helps with starting tricks and longer and wider boards are better for dancing, so you have room to move your feet. The best really depends on your own preference and the type of riding you prefer the most. Cruiser are also great Freestyle boards.

What is a Dancer/Dancing Longboard?

A Dancer Longboard is used for dancing/walking/cross stepping on the board. It is in general what longer (40-50 inch), has a flat surface (or mellow concave) and is symmetrical shaped, so the direction you ride-in is always the front.
