Fishtail Longboards

You can recognize a fishtail longboard easily as it has a fish-like tail on the back of the board. In general, it has a steeper radial concave than the kicktail. You will have more heel and toe control due to its low flex and concave. This control is equal to easier speed checks and intense wide carving. A longboard skateboard with a fishtail links back to its surfboard history and is always fun to look at and even more fun to ride. These boards are also called Split Tail Long boards.

Fishtail longboards are great for cruising and carving on flat surfaces. The shape is similar to the pintail longboard however the back of the board doesn't become narrow, but has a cutout at the tail-end - and that's why it is named fishtail.
