Product Description
Nothing says Sector 9 Bamboo quite like colorful, island vibes.
We wanted to revive some of our Bamboo roots (get it?... ‘cause it’s a weed) and thought someone living the island lifestyle would be ideal for creating this collection. With that in mind, we collaborated with waterman and artist Kenny Vidinich, head of OneVibe Creative Studios, which is located on the waters of Maunalua Bay in east Honolulu, O'ahu.
Taking inspiration from the local flora and fauna, Kenny created some amazingly detailed and colorful illustrations that pop on the sectional black dips. We’re super stoked to bring his island paradise to your growing quiver of Bamboo shapes.

Sector 9 Aina Striker 36" Drop Thru Longboard - Key Questions Answered
Is this a good longboard for a first-time rider?
Yes, the drop-through design lowers your stance and makes balancing, pushing, and foot braking feel more manageable. It is a friendly choice if you want extra stability without giving up easy turning.
What kind of riding is this board best for?
It is best for commuting, campus cruising, and relaxed carving on bike paths or neighborhood streets. The 36.5" length keeps it practical for everyday rides without feeling oversized.
How does it feel at speed and in turns?
It should feel planted and smooth, with a damp 9-ply maple deck that helps steady the ride. You get controlled carving rather than twitchy, quick-pivot response.
Would the 36.5-inch size be too big to carry around?
For most riders, it is a comfortable middle size that balances stability and portability. It is easier to live with than a longer downhill board, especially for campus or city use.
How does this compare with a top-mount board?
A drop-through setup usually feels lower, steadier, and easier to push than a top-mount. If you want confidence and comfort over sharp leverage, this style is the better fit.

Skater since 1974, pool pipe and skatepark, I've ridden it all but these Carver C7 trucks were a revelation. Best for slow speed styling and generally hanging some art on mellow terrain.
Definitely a kick and worth trying.

I've never had a board I've loved this much. Made with coconut fibers and Hawaiian print cloth. I'm in love. Abec 7s are smoothe, grips great. Overall 10/10

Well built and super fun to skate on. Wheels work well on imperfect pavement and sidewalk cracks. Bearings are legit.

Kiddo got this board for Christmas, for us to ride on Route 66. Board is good quality. No name trucks, but they function well for her. She likes the Punked Speed Series wheels. We did put reds super bearings in it. The factory bearings do not roll near as well. For the price, for a complete, it is well worth it. This is our second Punked Longboard, and both have served their purpose. I would buy from this company, and Vendor again, without question.

Trippy assym setup with Rogue ZM1's and assorted wheels really rips for downhill! I also hope to run cones with it soon.
