Punked Slimkick Longboard Deck - Tiedye Rasta - Key Questions Answered
Is this a good deck for a new rider who wants more stability?
Yes, the 38" drop-through shape sits lower to the ground, which helps reduce push effort and feels more planted than a taller top-mount. That makes balance practice and everyday cruising feel less twitchy.
What kind of riding is this 38" shape best suited for?
It’s a solid choice for freeride, sliding, and relaxed cruising on streets, campus paths, or boardwalks. The stiff maple platform keeps the board predictable when you start carving faster.
How does the stiff deck affect the ride?
A stiffer deck responds quickly to your inputs, so turns and weight shifts feel direct instead of mushy. If you want a board that stays controlled on rough sidewalks, that’s a real advantage.
Would 38 inches feel too long for city use?
For most adult commuters, 38 inches is a useful middle ground: stable enough for confident pushing, but still easy to handle in tighter spaces. It’s a practical size if you want comfort without going oversized.
How is this different from a shorter or more flexible deck?
Compared with shorter boards, this gives you more stance room and calmer tracking; compared with flexier decks, it feels steadier underfoot. That mix helps if you want one board for cruising and learning slides.

Skater since 1974, pool pipe and skatepark, I've ridden it all but these Carver C7 trucks were a revelation. Best for slow speed styling and generally hanging some art on mellow terrain.
Definitely a kick and worth trying.

I've never had a board I've loved this much. Made with coconut fibers and Hawaiian print cloth. I'm in love. Abec 7s are smoothe, grips great. Overall 10/10

They were more than helpful and the process of getting help, ordering the board, and then delivery was flawless. I am excited with my purchase and am thrilled with the customer service along the way. Well built and super fun to skate on. Wheels work well on imperfect pavement and sidewalk cracks. Bearings are legit.

Kiddo got this board for Christmas, for us to ride on Route 66. Board is good quality. No name trucks, but they function well for her. She likes the Punked Speed Series wheels. We did put reds super bearings in it. The factory bearings do not roll near as well. For the price, for a complete, it is well worth it. This is our second Punked Longboard, and both have served their purpose. I would buy from this company, and Vendor again, without question.

Trippy assym setup with Rogue ZM1's and assorted wheels really rips for downhill! I also hope to run cones with it soon.
