Madrid Origami Blunt 36 Pintail Longboard - Key Questions Answered
What is this board best for?
This 36" pintail is best for cruising, relaxed carving, and everyday rolling on smooth paths, boardwalks, and campus routes. Its longer platform and surfy shape suit flowing turns more than tricks or steep, fast downhill riding.
Is this a good choice for a first longboard?
Yes, it makes sense for newer riders who want a stable, predictable board for learning to push, turn, and cruise. The 36" length and pintail shape feel less twitchy than smaller boards, which helps build confidence early.
How does the 36" pintail feel when you carve and cruise?
It feels smooth, stable, and easy to lean into, with a classic surfy turn that suits relaxed riding. The pintail layout and carving-focused geometry help it track comfortably while still turning cleanly around walkers and gentle corners.
Is a 36" board practical for daily use, or will it feel too big?
A 36" length gives you more standing room and a calmer ride, which is useful for commuting and longer cruising sessions. It is less compact than a small cruiser, but the extra platform usually feels easier and more comfortable underfoot.
How does this compare to a smaller cruiser or a lower drop-through commuter?
Compared with a smaller cruiser, this pintail offers more stability and a smoother, less twitchy ride. Compared with a lower drop-through, it has a more classic surfy feel, though it may take a bit more effort on long push-heavy routes.

Skater since 1974, pool pipe and skatepark, I've ridden it all but these Carver C7 trucks were a revelation. Best for slow speed styling and generally hanging some art on mellow terrain.
Definitely a kick and worth trying.

I've never had a board I've loved this much. Made with coconut fibers and Hawaiian print cloth. I'm in love. Abec 7s are smoothe, grips great. Overall 10/10

Well built and super fun to skate on. Wheels work well on imperfect pavement and sidewalk cracks. Bearings are legit.

Kiddo got this board for Christmas, for us to ride on Route 66. Board is good quality. No name trucks, but they function well for her. She likes the Punked Speed Series wheels. We did put reds super bearings in it. The factory bearings do not roll near as well. For the price, for a complete, it is well worth it. This is our second Punked Longboard, and both have served their purpose. I would buy from this company, and Vendor again, without question.

Trippy assym setup with Rogue ZM1's and assorted wheels really rips for downhill! I also hope to run cones with it soon.
