Product Description
The Anvil downhill race longboard from Madrid is a badass directional longboard.
The deep concave and rocker on the Anvil longboard deck make it ideal for blasting down your favorite steep run. While it is not drop-thru, it does feature an innovative micro-flush design for added stability, because you never go full top-mount. We shortened the deck by about 2" this year and narrowed the wheelbase for increased maneuverability.
The CNC-cut wheel wells allow for a wide range of setups including narrow trucks and larger wheels. No problem for this board! It's called the Anvil because you drop the hammer on it.
This is the deck only. It is also available in complete.

Madrid Anvil Downhill 37.4" Longboard - Key Questions Answered
What kind of riding is the 37.4" Anvil best suited for?
This board is best for downhill and freeride where stability matters more than quick, surfy turning. The 37.4" length and low, drop-style platform are aimed at fast hill runs, slide practice, and controlled speed checks.
Is this a smart pick for a newer longboarder?
It is better for riders who already know they want a speed-focused board rather than a casual all-around first board. The stiff platform shape feels planted and predictable, but less playful than a mellow cruiser or carving setup.
How does the Anvil feel once you start picking up speed?
It feels low, locked in, and calm at speed thanks to the drop platform and stiff maple construction. That lower standing height can reduce wobble and leg fatigue when you are holding lines on steeper runs.
Is 37.4" the right size if I want control without a huge board?
Yes if you want enough platform for secure foot placement without stepping up to an oversized race deck. At 37.4", it gives you room for repeatable stance placement while staying focused on downhill control over portability.
How does this compare to a flexier cruiser or a more expensive carbon downhill deck?
Compared with a flexy cruiser, the Anvil is stiffer, lower, and more confidence-focused for freeride and downhill. Compared with pricier carbon options, it offers purpose-built downhill geometry in a simpler maple construction at a more approachable price.

Skater since 1974, pool pipe and skatepark, I've ridden it all but these Carver C7 trucks were a revelation. Best for slow speed styling and generally hanging some art on mellow terrain.
Definitely a kick and worth trying.

I've never had a board I've loved this much. Made with coconut fibers and Hawaiian print cloth. I'm in love. Abec 7s are smoothe, grips great. Overall 10/10

Well built and super fun to skate on. Wheels work well on imperfect pavement and sidewalk cracks. Bearings are legit.

Kiddo got this board for Christmas, for us to ride on Route 66. Board is good quality. No name trucks, but they function well for her. She likes the Punked Speed Series wheels. We did put reds super bearings in it. The factory bearings do not roll near as well. For the price, for a complete, it is well worth it. This is our second Punked Longboard, and both have served their purpose. I would buy from this company, and Vendor again, without question.

Trippy assym setup with Rogue ZM1's and assorted wheels really rips for downhill! I also hope to run cones with it soon.
