Product Description
The Kahuna Creations Deck Only Haka Moko 39" is inspired by Ta moko, face and body art by the Maori of New Zealand.
The Maori created the war Haka dance to intimidate their enemies before battle, and Ta moko was an important part of Maori life.
Ta moko was carved into the body instead of tattooed and was a key step in entering adulthood.
The Haka Moko longboard is the ultimate in control, stability, and soul riding. Easy riding for any beginner and longtime shredders live for this kind of ride. This Haka shape features a mild concave for a great feel and responsive ride. Plus a mild kick-tail for that old-school cruiser feel.

Kahuna Creations Haka Moko 39" Longboard Deck Only - Key Questions Answered
What kind of riding is this 39" deck best for?
It’s built for smooth cruising and carving, especially if you want a surf-inspired feel on neighborhood streets or bike paths. The 39" length gives you enough room to flow through turns without feeling unwieldy.
Is this a good choice for a newer rider?
Yes, the 39" platform is a comfortable middle ground for learning balance and linking turns. It feels more forgiving than a shorter, twitchier deck while still staying easy to maneuver.
How does the ride feel compared with a stiffer deck?
The bamboo composite construction is designed to feel flexy and responsive, so it loads up in turns and releases with a lively carve. That makes it feel more surf-like than a rigid, dead-feeling deck.
Would this work for surfskate-style training or pumping?
Yes, the flexible shape is a strong fit for surfskate cross-training and flowy pumping. It favors rhythm and carve feedback over maximum stability, which is what many riders want for that style.
Who is this a better match for than a longer cruising board?
It’s a smart pick if you want more agility and a tighter turning feel than a longer board usually gives. Riders who value carving feel over straight-line stability will get the most from it.

Skater since 1974, pool pipe and skatepark, I've ridden it all but these Carver C7 trucks were a revelation. Best for slow speed styling and generally hanging some art on mellow terrain.
Definitely a kick and worth trying.

I've never had a board I've loved this much. Made with coconut fibers and Hawaiian print cloth. I'm in love. Abec 7s are smoothe, grips great. Overall 10/10

Well built and super fun to skate on. Wheels work well on imperfect pavement and sidewalk cracks. Bearings are legit.

Kiddo got this board for Christmas, for us to ride on Route 66. Board is good quality. No name trucks, but they function well for her. She likes the Punked Speed Series wheels. We did put reds super bearings in it. The factory bearings do not roll near as well. For the price, for a complete, it is well worth it. This is our second Punked Longboard, and both have served their purpose. I would buy from this company, and Vendor again, without question.

Trippy assym setup with Rogue ZM1's and assorted wheels really rips for downhill! I also hope to run cones with it soon.
