Habitat Ellipse Yellow 7.75" Complete Skateboard - Key Questions Answered
Is a 7.75-inch board a good choice for a first-time skater?
Yes, if you want a narrower, quicker-feeling board that’s easier to steer while learning basic turns and ollies. It’s a solid fit for beginners who value control over a big, stable platform.
What kind of skating is this size best for?
It suits street skating, park laps, and casual cruising where quick response matters more than maximum stability. The 7.75-inch width feels nimble in tighter spots and on technical tricks.
How does this ride compared with an 8.0-inch board?
It feels lighter and more responsive, while an 8.0-inch board usually gives a steadier landing platform. Choose this if you prefer fast turning and easier maneuvering over extra planted feel.
Would this be a good pick for smaller riders or people with shorter stance preferences?
Yes, the compact width often feels more natural for smaller riders and anyone who likes a quicker, less bulky board. It can make foot placement and flick control feel more immediate.
What should I expect from a Habitat board at this price?
You should expect a dependable branded setup that’s aimed at everyday skating rather than premium custom-spec parts. It’s a practical middle-ground choice if you want known brand quality without overspending.

Skater since 1974, pool pipe and skatepark, I've ridden it all but these Carver C7 trucks were a revelation. Best for slow speed styling and generally hanging some art on mellow terrain.
Definitely a kick and worth trying.

I've never had a board I've loved this much. Made with coconut fibers and Hawaiian print cloth. I'm in love. Abec 7s are smoothe, grips great. Overall 10/10

I am loving this board so far! I reached out to LBUSA to get some help finding the right board for me. They were more than helpful and the process of getting help, ordering the board, and then delivery was flawless. I am excited with my purchase and am thrilled with the customer service along the way. Top notch!

Well built and super fun to skate on. Wheels work well on imperfect pavement and sidewalk cracks. Bearings are legit.

Kiddo got this board for Christmas, for us to ride on Route 66. Board is good quality. No name trucks, but they function well for her. She likes the Punked Speed Series wheels. We did put reds super bearings in it. The factory bearings do not roll near as well. For the price, for a complete, it is well worth it. This is our second Punked Longboard, and both have served their purpose. I would buy from this company, and Vendor again, without question.

Trippy assym setup with Rogue ZM1's and assorted wheels really rips for downhill! I also hope to run cones with it soon.
