Grizzly Retro Lines Blue 7.88" Complete Skateboard - Key Questions Answered
Is a 7.88" board a good choice for learning street basics and park riding?
Yes, 7.88" is a smart middle-ground width for learning because it turns quickly and feels easier to flick. It also still gives enough platform for steady cruising around the neighborhood or campus.
What should I expect from the ride feel of a 7-ply maple board like this?
Expect a solid, familiar pop and a sturdy feel underfoot from the 7-ply maple deck. That makes it better for everyday street sessions and repeated park practice than a softer, less responsive setup.
Would this work well for a first skateboarder who wants to progress fast?
Yes, it suits first-time riders who want something easier to control than a wider deck. The narrower shape helps you learn pushes, turns, and basic flip progressions without feeling bulky.
How does this size compare if I’m choosing between 7.88" and 8.0"?
7.88" feels a bit quicker edge-to-edge and more nimble than 8.0". If you want faster flicks and a lighter-feeling board for street and park use, this width is the better pick.
What kind of rider is this best suited for day to day?
It’s a good fit for riders who split time between cruising, learning tricks, and casual park sessions. The classic Grizzly look and balanced size make it an easy choice for school, errands, and weekend riding.

Skater since 1974, pool pipe and skatepark, I've ridden it all but these Carver C7 trucks were a revelation. Best for slow speed styling and generally hanging some art on mellow terrain.
Definitely a kick and worth trying.

I've never had a board I've loved this much. Made with coconut fibers and Hawaiian print cloth. I'm in love. Abec 7s are smoothe, grips great. Overall 10/10

I am loving this board so far! I reached out to LBUSA to get some help finding the right board for me. They were more than helpful and the process of getting help, ordering the board, and then delivery was flawless. I am excited with my purchase and am thrilled with the customer service along the way. Well built and super fun to skate on. Wheels work well on imperfect pavement and sidewalk cracks. Bearings are legit.

Kiddo got this board for Christmas, for us to ride on Route 66. Board is good quality. No name trucks, but they function well for her. She likes the Punked Speed Series wheels. We did put reds super bearings in it. The factory bearings do not roll near as well. For the price, for a complete, it is well worth it. This is our second Punked Longboard, and both have served their purpose. I would buy from this company, and Vendor again, without question.

Trippy assym setup with Rogue ZM1's and assorted wheels really rips for downhill! I also hope to run cones with it soon.
