GoldCoast University Of Utah 38" Pintail Longboard - Key Questions Answered
What kind of rider is a 38" pintail like this best suited for?
It suits riders who want a calm cruiser for campus paths, neighborhood streets, and easy carving. The 38-inch pintail shape gives you a longer, steadier stance than a small cruiser.
Is this a good choice for a first longboard?
Yes, if you want something predictable and not overly aggressive. The reverse kingpin truck setup helps it turn smoothly, which makes learning to carve and control speed feel less intimidating.
How does it ride compared with a smaller cruiser or skateboard?
It feels more stable and relaxed, with smoother turns and less twitchiness than a shorter board. That makes it better for flowing around sidewalks and gentle hills than quick tricks or tight street riding.
Would this work well for getting around a college campus?
Yes, it is a strong fit for campus cruising and short daily trips. It rolls comfortably at casual speeds and gives you enough board length to feel balanced when weaving around people.
What should I expect from the ride feel on this board?
Expect a smooth, surfy carve with a stable platform underfoot. It is built for relaxed cruising, so the ride feels controlled and easy to live with rather than fast or technical.

Skater since 1974, pool pipe and skatepark, I've ridden it all but these Carver C7 trucks were a revelation. Best for slow speed styling and generally hanging some art on mellow terrain.
Definitely a kick and worth trying.

I've never had a board I've loved this much. Made with coconut fibers and Hawaiian print cloth. I'm in love. Abec 7s are smoothe, grips great. Overall 10/10

I am loving this board so far! I reached out to LBUSA to get some help finding the right board for me. They were more than helpful and the process of getting help, ordering the board, and then delivery was flawless. I am excited with my purchase and am thrilled with the customer service along the way. Top notch!

Well built and super fun to skate on. Wheels work well on imperfect pavement and sidewalk cracks. Bearings are legit.

Kiddo got this board for Christmas, for us to ride on Route 66. Board is good quality. No name trucks, but they function well for her. She likes the Punked Speed Series wheels. We did put reds super bearings in it. The factory bearings do not roll near as well. For the price, for a complete, it is well worth it. This is our second Punked Longboard, and both have served their purpose. I would buy from this company, and Vendor again, without question.

Trippy assym setup with Rogue ZM1's and assorted wheels really rips for downhill! I also hope to run cones with it soon.
