Globe Sprawl Disappearing Trees 8.12" Skateboard - Key Questions Answered
What is this board best for?
This 8.12" Globe G2 is best for street skating, park laps, and everyday sessions where you want a balanced feel. It suits riders who want enough platform for confident turns and ollie practice without feeling bulky.
Is 8.12" a good size for a newer skater?
Yes, 8.12" is a very approachable width for newer riders because it gives your feet a stable landing area. It helps with balance and foot placement while still staying manageable as you start learning tricks.
How does this board feel underfoot compared to a narrower setup?
It feels more planted and predictable than a narrower board, especially when turning, pushing, or landing. The 8.12" width gives a steadier platform, while the Globe G2 shape still keeps it responsive enough for park riding.
Who is this size most likely to fit well?
This size works well for skaters who want a middle-ground deck that is not too narrow or too wide. If you want one board for learning basics, cruising the neighborhood, and progressing into park skating, 8.12" makes sense.
Why choose this over a cheaper entry-level skateboard?
The value here is in the skate-specific build, including Globe’s Resin-7 hard rock maple deck and Tensor trucks. That usually means more consistent control and a more dependable ride than bargain setups that cut corners on key parts.

Skater since 1974, pool pipe and skatepark, I've ridden it all but these Carver C7 trucks were a revelation. Best for slow speed styling and generally hanging some art on mellow terrain.
Definitely a kick and worth trying.

I've never had a board I've loved this much. Made with coconut fibers and Hawaiian print cloth. I'm in love. Abec 7s are smoothe, grips great. Overall 10/10

Well built and super fun to skate on. Wheels work well on imperfect pavement and sidewalk cracks. Bearings are legit.

Kiddo got this board for Christmas, for us to ride on Route 66. Board is good quality. No name trucks, but they function well for her. She likes the Punked Speed Series wheels. We did put reds super bearings in it. The factory bearings do not roll near as well. For the price, for a complete, it is well worth it. This is our second Punked Longboard, and both have served their purpose. I would buy from this company, and Vendor again, without question.

Trippy assym setup with Rogue ZM1's and assorted wheels really rips for downhill! I also hope to run cones with it soon.
