Deville Shotgun 32" Downhill Longboard - Key Questions Answered
Is this a good first downhill board if I’m still learning speed control?
Yes, if you want a stable board that feels less twitchy than a longer race deck. The 32" drop-through shape sits low, which makes pushing, foot braking, and learning controlled slides feel more manageable.
What kind of riding is this board best for?
It’s best for downhill, freeride, and shorter daily rides where stability matters more than max cruising comfort. The reverse kingpin trucks and compact platform are built for predictable turning and speed control.
How does the 32-inch size affect ride feel and portability?
It feels compact and easy to handle without losing the planted feel you want at speed. That shorter length is also easier to carry around campus or between stops than a longer downhill setup.
Would this work for commuting, or is it too specialized?
It can work for commuting if your route is shorter and you want a stable, confidence-building ride. It’s less ideal for long-distance cruising, but the low stance helps on stop-and-go city trips.
How does it compare to a longer cruiser or a more race-focused downhill board?
It sits in the middle: more stable and speed-ready than a cruiser, but less specialized than a full race board. That makes it a strong pick if you want one board for hill runs, slides, and everyday use.

Skater since 1974, pool pipe and skatepark, I've ridden it all but these Carver C7 trucks were a revelation. Best for slow speed styling and generally hanging some art on mellow terrain.
Definitely a kick and worth trying.

I've never had a board I've loved this much. Made with coconut fibers and Hawaiian print cloth. I'm in love. Abec 7s are smoothe, grips great. Overall 10/10

I am loving this board so far! I reached out to LBUSA to get some help finding the right board for me. They were more than helpful and the process of getting help, ordering the board, and then delivery was flawless. I am excited with my purchase and am thrilled with the customer service along the way. Well built and super fun to skate on. Wheels work well on imperfect pavement and sidewalk cracks. Bearings are legit.

Kiddo got this board for Christmas, for us to ride on Route 66. Board is good quality. No name trucks, but they function well for her. She likes the Punked Speed Series wheels. We did put reds super bearings in it. The factory bearings do not roll near as well. For the price, for a complete, it is well worth it. This is our second Punked Longboard, and both have served their purpose. I would buy from this company, and Vendor again, without question.

Trippy assym setup with Rogue ZM1's and assorted wheels really rips for downhill! I also hope to run cones with it soon.
