Deville Dominator 37" Downhill Longboard - Key Questions Answered
Is this a good choice if I want more downhill stability without going to a race-only board?
Yes. The 37" drop-through shape and reverse kingpin trucks keep the board low and planted, which helps calm speed wobble. It’s aimed at riders who want confident downhill control without a super-stiff race setup.
How does it feel at speed compared with a more upright top-mount longboard?
It feels lower, steadier, and easier to keep under control when the hill picks up. That lower stance also makes foot braking and speed checks feel more manageable than on taller setups.
Would this work for an intermediate rider moving from cruising into faster lines?
Yes, that’s the sweet spot this board targets. It gives you a stable platform and predictable steering, so you can build confidence on steeper roads before moving to more specialized gear.
What should I expect from the 37-inch size in everyday use?
Expect a board that feels compact enough to handle but long enough to stay settled when you’re descending. It’s easier to live with than a huge downhill deck, while still giving you a planted stance.
How does it compare if I want something that can also practice freeride slides?
It’s a solid middle ground for slide practice because the low ride height helps you initiate and control speed checks with less effort. You get downhill stability first, with freeride use as a strong second.

Skater since 1974, pool pipe and skatepark, I've ridden it all but these Carver C7 trucks were a revelation. Best for slow speed styling and generally hanging some art on mellow terrain.
Definitely a kick and worth trying.

I've never had a board I've loved this much. Made with coconut fibers and Hawaiian print cloth. I'm in love. Abec 7s are smoothe, grips great. Overall 10/10

Well built and super fun to skate on. Wheels work well on imperfect pavement and sidewalk cracks. Bearings are legit.

Kiddo got this board for Christmas, for us to ride on Route 66. Board is good quality. No name trucks, but they function well for her. She likes the Punked Speed Series wheels. We did put reds super bearings in it. The factory bearings do not roll near as well. For the price, for a complete, it is well worth it. This is our second Punked Longboard, and both have served their purpose. I would buy from this company, and Vendor again, without question.

Trippy assym setup with Rogue ZM1's and assorted wheels really rips for downhill! I also hope to run cones with it soon.
