Darkstar Anodize Aqua/Purple First Push 8.0" Skateboard - Key Questions Answered
Is this a good size for someone learning to skate?
Yes, the 8.0" width is a common starting point because it feels steady without being hard to steer. It gives newer riders enough platform for balance while still staying manageable for basic tricks and park work.
What kind of riding is this board best for?
It is best for general street skating, cruising short distances, and learning skatepark basics. The shape and size favor control over speed-focused downhill riding.
How does an 8.0" deck feel underfoot?
An 8.0" board usually feels balanced and predictable, with enough width to land on comfortably. It is a solid middle ground if you want stability but do not want a wide, bulky feel.
Would this work well for a teen or smaller adult rider?
Yes, it is a practical match for teen beginners and smaller adults who want an easy-to-handle board. The 8.0" size is versatile enough for learning without feeling oversized.
How does this compare with going smaller or wider?
Compared with a smaller board, this gives more stability when pushing and landing. Compared with a wider deck, it stays easier to turn and feels less cumbersome for everyday skating.

Skater since 1974, pool pipe and skatepark, I've ridden it all but these Carver C7 trucks were a revelation. Best for slow speed styling and generally hanging some art on mellow terrain.
Definitely a kick and worth trying.

I've never had a board I've loved this much. Made with coconut fibers and Hawaiian print cloth. I'm in love. Abec 7s are smoothe, grips great. Overall 10/10

I am loving this board so far! I reached out to LBUSA to get some help finding the right board for me. They were more than helpful and the process of getting help, ordering the board, and then delivery was flawless. I am excited with my purchase and am thrilled with the customer service along the way. Well built and super fun to skate on. Wheels work well on imperfect pavement and sidewalk cracks. Bearings are legit.

Kiddo got this board for Christmas, for us to ride on Route 66. Board is good quality. No name trucks, but they function well for her. She likes the Punked Speed Series wheels. We did put reds super bearings in it. The factory bearings do not roll near as well. For the price, for a complete, it is well worth it. This is our second Punked Longboard, and both have served their purpose. I would buy from this company, and Vendor again, without question.

Trippy assym setup with Rogue ZM1's and assorted wheels really rips for downhill! I also hope to run cones with it soon.
