Blind OG Oval First Push Premium 7.625" Skateboard - Key Questions Answered
What kind of rider is a 7.625" deck best for?
It suits lighter riders, smaller shoe sizes, and anyone who wants a quicker, easier-to-control board. The narrower width makes turning and flicking feel less bulky than an 8.0" deck.
Is this a good choice for learning ollies and basic flip tricks?
Yes, if you want a snappier board that feels easier to move under your feet. The 7-ply maple build gives a lively pop for repeat practice at the park or on flat ground.
How does it feel compared with a wider skateboard?
It feels more responsive and easier to edge over from side to side. Compared with 7.75" to 8.0" decks, it gives up a little speed stability for faster control and cleaner kickturns.
Would this work for street skating as well as skatepark sessions?
Yes, it is built for normal street and park skating. The smaller width helps in tight spaces and on technical lines, where quick corrections matter most.
What should I expect if I want a name-brand deck without paying for specialty tech?
Expect a straightforward pro-style maple deck from Blind with a familiar skate feel. It lands in the mid-range price tier, so you are paying for a trusted shape and consistent performance.

Trippy assym setup with Rogue ZM1's and assorted wheels really rips for downhill! I also hope to run cones with it soon.

Kiddo got this board for Christmas, for us to ride on Route 66. Board is good quality. No name trucks, but they function well for her. She likes the Punked Speed Series wheels. We did put reds super bearings in it. The factory bearings do not roll near as well. For the price, for a complete, it is well worth it. This is our second Punked Longboard, and both have served their purpose. I would buy from this company, and Vendor again, without question.

Well built and super fun to skate on. Wheels work well on imperfect pavement and sidewalk cracks. Bearings are legit.

I've never had a board I've loved this much. Made with coconut fibers and Hawaiian print cloth. I'm in love. Abec 7s are smoothe, grips great. Overall 10/10

Skater since 1974, pool pipe and skatepark, I've ridden it all but these Carver C7 trucks were a revelation. Best for slow speed styling and generally hanging some art on mellow terrain.
Definitely a kick and worth trying.
