Almost Light Bright Red First Push 7.75" Complete Skateboard - Key Questions Answered
Is a 7.75" board a good choice for someone just starting out?
Yes, 7.75" is a very common beginner size because it feels easier to control when learning balance, pushing, and basic turns. It also suits smaller riders who want a board that feels less bulky underfoot.
What kind of riding is this board best for?
It is best for street skating, park practice, and learning the basics in a way that feels predictable. The 7.75" size works well for carving, rolling around campus, and trying your first tricks.
How does a 7.75" setup feel compared with a wider board?
A 7.75" board usually feels quicker to turn and easier to maneuver than a wider deck. If you want a compact feel for learning and smaller tricks, this size makes sense.
Would this work for daily carrying around school or town?
Yes, the narrower shape is easier to carry and tuck away while moving between classes or spots. That makes it practical if you want one board for riding and everyday use.
What should I expect from an Almost board at this price point?
You should expect a dependable starter setup from a real skate brand, not a cheap department-store feel. It is a solid choice if you want something that helps you progress without spending custom-board money.

Trippy assym setup with Rogue ZM1's and assorted wheels really rips for downhill! I also hope to run cones with it soon.

Kiddo got this board for Christmas, for us to ride on Route 66. Board is good quality. No name trucks, but they function well for her. She likes the Punked Speed Series wheels. We did put reds super bearings in it. The factory bearings do not roll near as well. For the price, for a complete, it is well worth it. This is our second Punked Longboard, and both have served their purpose. I would buy from this company, and Vendor again, without question.

Well built and super fun to skate on. Wheels work well on imperfect pavement and sidewalk cracks. Bearings are legit.

Skater since 1974, pool pipe and skatepark, I've ridden it all but these Carver C7 trucks were a revelation. Best for slow speed styling and generally hanging some art on mellow terrain.
Definitely a kick and worth trying.
